        By now, Beijing Capital Airport Commercial & Trading Co., Ltd.(“ACT”) has installed 98 vending machines atthe terminals and parking buildingsof Beijing Capital International Airport (“BCIA”), providing an assortment of bottled drinks, including mineral water, carbonated drinks, coffee, tea and functional drinks. Thesevending machines can be found along the main passages at BCIA, including the terminals’ public areas, secured areas for domestic and international flights, and ends of the passenger service process, e.g., remote gates and parking buildings, providing services along with more than 140 retail shops. 

        Recently ACTinstalledfourpieces of supporting equipment to vending machines toimprove its remote controlover the machines. The equipment can collect data intensively and give alarmsin case of machine malfunctions, product short supply and coin shortage. In order to solve the problems occurring when vending machines operate, and lift the service and passengers’ satisfaction level, ACT has adopted the rule of pre-compensation. When a passenger encountersany problem, for example, a product failsto be distributed, or the change is not correct, he/she can dial the 400 service number shown on the equipment for help. If it is confirmedthat the machine has problems, thepassenger could choose to be pre-compensated, and the compensation could be given to his/her’ mobile in the form of prepaid phone charge; or the passenger could choose to get the same product or any other product available at the same price in any AIRCO convenience store.

        In order to strengthen theroutine operation of the vending machines and maintain a good commercial atmosphere atthe terminals, ACT has chosenwell known international brandsthat have gone through stringent tests ofspecialized organizations and met the latest internationalenvironmental protectionstandards. Each vending machine can store 460 bottles of drinks.
